I’ve left the coursework behind me and the summer has finally arrived! If you’re like me, your wardrobe is anything but prepared. To be honest almost all the clothes I own are black so I headed to the shops to inject some much needed colour.
A key trend this season is undoubtedly an 80’S throwback, think Miami Vice-styled pastels, Cuban collars and chinos. Here is a short Outfit post I’ve created using the trend
The first piece I’ve picked up was this Cuban collar shirt from RIVER ISLAND, as the temperature is rising a cool shirt is essential, the lighter fabrics will keep you fresh and cool. The brighter the colour the better!
You can’t go wrong with a fresh white t-shirt, I’ve picked up this embroidered one from RIVER ISLAND, roll the sleeves up to keep it stylish (and stop those pale upper arms if we get the sun lol)
Finally, i found these pastel pink shorts in Topman, I think they really pull this look together and can be easily dressed up or down for the sand or the street.
Yeah I know, this look isn’t for the faint-hearted but mix and matching these pieces with your existing wardrobe will keep you on trend and ready for whatever summer has to offer!
