On Wednesday night I attended the launch of the new Remus Uomo flagship store in Belfast.
Remus Uomo (Menswear brand of the year) have opened their new store on the lower ground floor of Victoria Square, which I have to say is one of the nicest stores I have ever been in.
It features their new retail concept which will form the basis for all future Remus Uomo stores. Beautifully designed with custom lighting, sound system, bespoke terrazzo flooring and a minimalist design the store is so welcoming and presented to perfection with the same attention to detail as the clothing itself.
Remus Uomo has been a permanent resident in Victoria Square since it opened almost 10 years ago and with this new store, they commit to 10 more. The new larger store provides an expanded fitting area with comfortable seating which allows for the sociable aspect of fashion shopping and is able to accommodate large groups, Perfect for grooms’ parties.
The Launch night was fantastic as we were able to preview the AW17 collection. The collection has hints of the 1930’sand 1970’s design as well as touches of sports luxe in the form of jersey outerwear, stretch suiting and drawstring/double pleat trousers the mix of these trends creates a rich contemporary layered look.
Remus Uomo are always a cut above the rest when it comes to the fabric choices and this collection is no different, this season sees the introduction of innovative embossed pattern fabrics in jackets as well as the continuation of print patterns in formal and casual tailoring. In the knitwear, a mix of chunky and fine knit structure creates versatility to see a modern man through the darker days of autumn to the chill nights of winter.
Bold Pattern is seen across the collection transforming basic menswear pieces into ultra stylish must-haves, Art Deco inspired geometrics can be seen across the formal and casual tailoring, the theme makes for easy co-ordination across the range
The core masculine colour palette of Navy, Blue, Grey and charcoal are accented and deepened by claret and forest green across the collection.
Thanks so much to Remus Uomo and everyone involved for a fantastic night, especially Emer from EMER D BLOG ( Facebook ) for bringing me along on her behalf
